Gorgeous King 2B Silversonic trombone with a solid sterling silver bell, made in 1993, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the King company. This 2B has a special engraving, no gold wash inside the bell flare and a commemorative case. A 1921 Conn 12H, has a .547" wide slide with tuning in the slide, piston F attachment. Its stunning how well this instrument plays, the slide is all original and works great. Beautiful satin silver finish, gold inside the bell. This is a unique horn and, while not for everyone, would be the gem of a collection and you can use it!The instrument is all original with the exception of the valves (and spit valve).Interestingly, the instrument has original gold brass outer slide tubes. Its also very lightweight which is unusual for 78H trombones which tend to be on the burlier side. This is a 80H New York Symphony model made in the 1920s. Has a .525" slide with tuning in the slide and a rotary valve F attachment. Its spent its whole career with a professional trombonist and while it shows some use, its in great shape. I can't say enough good things about this instrument. The 9" bell gives a more tenor like feel and sound without losing the low end. This bell is gorgeous 00 A lovely vintage late 1930s Conn 78H, original one owner instrument.
I had a friend make a special .016" red brass one piece bell flare with a soldered rim.Because of this, I'm very fond of it its rare that you get an instrument that is a pure enhancement of you, the good and the bad.
